Short Bio:
I am a Research Fellow at the University of Bologna, Italy (October 2014 - present). I earned a Ph.D. in Economic Policy from the Catholic University of Milan, Italy (May 2014) and an MA from ISS-Erasmus University Rotterdam (September 2011-December 2012), I was visiting research fellow at Brown University (January-May 2016).
Research Interests:
My research focuses on issues of, determinants and obstacles to development using an applied approach and original historical sources. In particular, I am interested in disentangling the effects of shocks (natural disasters, diseases, conflict, economic and institutional changes) on historical and current development outcomes exploiting econometric techniques and meta-analysis.
